A Love Story for Valentine’s Day

I love a good love story. Rom-coms are my jam. And being that Valentine’s Day is around the corner, which also happens to be my wife’s birthday, I wanted to redirect you from this post to another which has been buried in my blog archive over time: Do You Not Know How Beautiful You Are?

I originally wrote this essay in 2017. Earlier this morning when I woke at 3:00 AM — not intentionally — I revised and updated it extensively, adding an additional 2,000 words.

It is no longer the vignette it once was. That’s still there — in the middle — but I provided more context surrounding the story, including input from my wife and a nod to two of my friends who are no longer here with us: Jeremiah, who played a pivotal role in Allison’s recovery, and Gary, who quite honestly shoved me in her direction when I was too chickens—t to kiss her for the first time.

If you’re like me and love a good love story, give it a read:
