Depressed? Watch This and You Won’t Be, At Least For a Few Minutes

I know what it’s like to be depressed. Really depressed. I am the disappearing boy. When I’m depressed, I shut everyone out of my life. The not-so-funny thing about depression is that most people don’t even know you’re depressed.

Everyone is so caught up in their own lives. It’s just the way it is. Likely the only people that know you’re depressed are the people under your own roof. Even your friends don’t know. That’s if you’ve even talked to them or seen them in months.

I’m not making light of depression here either. Depression is some serious shit. I was in deep depression lately. Super deep. I’m not anymore. There are a few reasons why. But that’s a super long post. And, I’m not writing a super long post today.

Instead, I want to share with you the absolute funniest effing video in the history of mankind. It’s one you should have in your favorites whenever you’re down in the dumps or experiencing legit depression. I was telling my wife Allison the other day, as we sat up and watched this video together, “We really need to show this to the kids. Let them know this is the era in which we grew up.”

Without further adieu, here it is: the 1988 Crystal Light National Aerobics Championship. Please, for the love of all things holy, watch this from beginning to end with the sound up at least halfway. I’m begging you. It starts to get really good around 2:12.
